Jura isn’t an island packed with bikepacking routes, but that’s exactly why it works. With one main road, a handful of excellent gravel detours, huge stretches of empty coastline and a population dwarfed by its red deer, the appeal is less about ticking off trails and more about the feeling of being somewhere genuinely remote. Add golden beaches, clear water, wild camping and the Paps dominating the skyline, and Jura becomes one of those places where slowing down matters more than covering distance.
